Why covering stops working
It's not your grey. It's the plan.
Permanent colour covers your grey for a few weeks. Then the line comes back, and you're back in the chair. Highlights don't solve it either. They break the grey up for a while, but your roots still come through and your colour starts to feel too bright and too warm.
So I do it differently. I undo the old colour and that harsh regrowth line, then blend your grey so it grows in soft. I keep depth and dimension in your hair, so it looks polished and modern, not flat. Every formula is personal to your hair and the result you want.
